Christmas Topiary

Hey all,

Ok one of my DT members, Donna Buchner, has been hard at work this holiday season.  She is on Tag #6 of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas but she has also created this fabulous Topiary Ball....

She has posed a question on her BLOG How many flowers did she have to fold to complete this stunning Christmas Topiary???

We have decided to turn this into a little contest...whoever guesses closest to the right amount of flowers will win some Christmas Goodies supplied by Scrap'n With Flair!!!!!

All you have to do is hop over to her BLOG and leave a comment with your guess....it doesn't get any easier than that....

Goood Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas Mini

Hey all.....

Ok, I have been a mini addict lately.  I found this instructions on how to put this one together from Laura Denison from Following The Paper Trail  (click the link to go to her blog).

I used the My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas 6x6 pad and various embellies from the same line and a few from my stash.  The flowers are from I Am Roses (I may have a secret addiction to these things...an intervention maybe in my future....hahahahah)

This one is called Stack the Deck and is super easy and fun to put together.  There is tons of real estate for photos.  Each page has a pocket for a tag for more photos.  There isn't a lot of embellishment on this one.  I might add a few more once I have the photos in.

I am working on getting permission from Laura to teach this one.  I am thinking some fun spring or valentines paper would look good on this one..... :)

Christmas Cards

Well here we go....Post #1!!!!

I have been extremely busy this past week.  The creative juices were overflowing.  LOL

I have never really been a Christmas card maker but I have to say that this year something came over me and I have gone card crazy!!!  I had a little inspiration...ok a lot of inspiration from the Magnolia Blog .  Thier Desingers are fantastic!!!

So this first card was made using the Bo Bunny Snowfall paper and a few extra embellies.   The stamp I used is from CC Design and I colored it using the Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  This is a super cool technique and a great substitution for Copic Markers.  You can get the same kind of results, although it is very time consuming, but the results in the end are worth it.

This next card was created using a sketch from the Magnolia Blog.

Here is what I came up with... :)

I used the Authentique Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad and a few other embellies I had kicking around.  The large sparkly snowflake I purchased at Dollarama in thier Christmas decoration department.  LOL  Thinkin outside the box.  :)  I might have lifted that idea.  hahahaha....

The rest of my Christmas cards were made using the Flower Soft 3D card kits.  OMG these things are FANTASTIC!!!!  Super easy and super quick and to top it all off you end up with professional looking cards.  LOVE THEM....
